Owner
Born and raised on the Monterey Bay of California, Cindy worked her way across the US and found herself on the East Coast by way of Ohio. With recently becoming the new owner of The Gateway Florist, it has quickly become her new family as she begins her new adventure in Annapolis. Cindy, with her quick wit and zeal for life is a perfect addition to the shop. Her love for cooking and entertaining is shared with her husband, as friends from across the nation come to visit and experience the beauty of Maryland.
Life in Annapolis, home of the US Naval Academy, can be challenging for this Army family. With a husband that graduated from West Point, a son in the Army who has served 3 tours in Iraq and a son who is a 2010 graduate from West Point, you will hear this family in unison say, " Go ARMY!!! BEAT NAVY!!!!!! "

It was an easy choice adding Donna to The Gateway Florist family. During the interview process her subtle confidence without the DIVA attitude made her a perfect fit to the group. Donna’s love for designing permanent (artificial) arrangements is evident when you see her creativity unleashed.
Whether enjoying time with her 3 kids, Rockfishing with her boyfriend or snuggled up with her Yorkie, Sweet Pea, Donna’s love for life is apparent with her cheerful, upbeat attitude.
Favorite flower: Hydrangea
Dolly has worked at The Gateway Florist for 7 years. Always bubbly and full of laughter, Dolly can brighten anyone's day! She always has a joke to share or a funny story to tell which keeps us all in stitches with laughter. Customers always tell us we are having too much fun in the design room and a lot of that is because of Dolly!
Lisa came to us by way of Florida and joined our team in 2009. With her bright smile and contagious laugh, she is a great addition to our already happy staff.
Lisa loves to prepare Italian food for her husband, three children and grandson. Nothing made from a box for this chef, she prepares everything from scratch! On occasion she will bring in a sample of one of her meals and we all say, "WOW Lisa! This is great!"
Other than her being an Eagles and Philly fan, she adds great spark to the shop! We love having her here and she is a great friend!

If you looked up the word free-spirited you would find Jesse’s picture beside it. Being very layed back we have worked on her enthusiasm when answering the phone. Jesse took it to heart and has taught her grandmother to put a little pep in her phone voice as well. Family is a vital part of Jesse’s life spending her first 7 months with her twin brother. Jesse weighed in at a whopping 4 lbs while her brother tipped the scale at 2 lbs.
Spare time for Jesse is spent going to the movies, mall shopping and driving. Whether spending time with her Bichon dog name Bosley or texting her friends you can guarantee she is ending the sentence with “DUDE”.

Having been born and raised in Annapolis makes JR’s job much easier. If its in Annapolis, he can tell you where it is located, and what was located there before that.
In his spare time, JR likes to garden and help his elderly neighbors with their yard work. JR often shows up to work with scrumptious fudge and cookies. To bring a smile to his face, just ask him about his motorcycle.
